About Team Indiana-

by Founder Cara Johnson-Hirsch

About TI- Team Indiana is a competitive, college-prep travel fastpitch organization. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, we draw players from all over the state and beyond. Founded in 2005 by professional fastpitch instructor Cara Johnson-Hirsch, Team Indiana's main goals are to create a lasting line of Fastpitch tradition by developing the individual skills and fundamental Fastpitch strategies necessary for growth and continued success. Team Indiana prepares players to succeed mentally and physically in college softball programs and beyond.

The Early Years- The 2005-2006 inaugural season proved to put the Team Indiana organization on the map as one of the region’s most highly competitive programs. 14U Team Indiana laid claim to (3) 1st place finishes, including an 18U tournament and Diamonds of the South, where we earned Indiana’s first berth to ASA “A” 14U Nationals. Team Indiana received 2nd place honors at Indiana ASA Shootout National Qualifier. Team Indiana also took home a 3rd place finish from the distinguished Ohio Stingrays Tournament. This was only the beggining. After competing in the most competitive tournaments on the ASA circuit, beating some of the most prominent teams in the nation, and traveling to Taiwan to play against former Olympians from China, Japan, and Chinese Taipei, the members of the original Team Indiana team went on to fulfill something much more significant and meaningful.

The Invention of our Legacy- Together with hard-work, determination, loyalty, and commitment to one another the first TI team initiated something truly unexpected, amazing, inspirational. Eager to shower in the spirit and success of the core Team Indiana athletes, younger teams were formed and shaped the organization into what it is today. Now all of the original TI members have either gone on to play in college or have signed their national letters of intent. Their legacy does not lay in their individual or our team accomplishments, rather it lives in all the eager faces of our young Team Indiana players who pursue their own dreams and follow the impressive example set forth by these remarkable young-women.
