Team Indiana is a competitive, college-prep travel fastpitch organization. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, we draw players from all over the state and beyond. Founded in 2005 by professional fastpitch instructor Cara Johnson-Hirsch, Team Indiana's main goals are to create a lasting line of Fastpitch tradition by developing the individual skills and fundamental Fastpitch strategies necessary for growth and continued success, and to prepare players to succeed mentally and physically in college softball programs and beyond.
The 2005-2006 inaugural season proved to put the Team Indiana organization on the map as one of the region’s most highly competitive programs. 14U Team Indiana laid claim to (3) 1st place finishes, including an 18U tournament and Diamonds of the South, where we earned Indiana’s first berth to ASA “A” 14U Nationals. Team Indiana received 2nd place honors at Indiana ASA Shootout National Qualifier, losing to the California Case Batbusters in the championship game. Team Indiana also took home a 3rd place finish from the distinguished Ohio Stingrays Tournament after beating some of the most prominent teams in the Midwest.
Team Indiana, through a unique community-based partnership with Indy Parks, practices outdoors at Ellenberger Park May-October. During the winter months Team Indiana practices indoors at the SportZone.
